Hi there Dave Douglas. Just wanted to say thank you for twisting your editor's arm.

I love your articles as I am in the situation you were in. You answered my questions about using secured credit cards to rebuild your credit. I bought a house in 2008 w/a score of 622 and was stunned to find that my score is now 563 (I guess b/c I closed 3 credit cards I had. 2 were for bad or slow credit and 1 was from Discover Card. I was so proud of that card), but I got mad one day b/c I got behind on payments and closed them all. Since I was behind no one would re-open them when I realized this hurt my score.

So I have to start over. The balances together are less than $1300 so I'm not heavily into debt. Anywho...thanks for the great info and YOUR personal experiences make your articles that much more legit. You're not saying what everyone else is saying. Please...keep up the good work.
