It&#039;s possible, but not very likely. Borderline would be considered about 625-635. It depends upon a couple of factors.

1) How recent the bad debts on your credit report(s) are - 
2) How much income you have and how much you have available (debt to income ratio)
3) Stability, such as time on the job and employment. 

To find lenders that offer subprime mortgages for those with bad credit I recommend looking in the yellow pages for mortgage lenders in your area and pay special attention for the ones that say &quot;credit problems okay&quot; or &quot;we work with you&quot;.   Then, talk to them and find out what sort of standards they have for approving a mortgage.  If nothing else, turn to the internet, but be wary of websites simply gathering your information to sell. Make sure you are actually dealing directly with a mortgage lender&#039;s website.
